Cranfield Business Challenge

The event, designed to bring business and education closer together, was organised by Cranfield School of Management and Develop.

The Sixth formers participating in this simulated challenge set up a business on a shoestring - a bright idea, £200 capital and a bank manager prepared to support their business plan at a price!

Most of their competitors also made profits and beat off importers grabbing the market share. All benefited from learning more about the world of business and developing their personal and team skills. Each team was supported by a mentor from a local company who acted as a facilitator.

The winning team from 2012 was Sharnbrook Upper School. The team was supported by Matthew Maguire from PwC who did an excellent job.

The Sharnbrook business students attended a James Bond themed spy day as part of their winning prize.

The date for this year's business challenge is Thursday 11 June 2013. Please find on the right hand side of this page a copy of the 2013 programme as well as the electronic application form. All teams to be submitted by 5th April 2013.
